Welcome to United Open Karate!
At United Open Karate, we want to encourage you to reach your maximum potential whether it be physical, mental, or spiritual. Our goal is to help give you the tools you need to succeed in life and to have fun and meet great people while you're doing it! Our practical and street-smart approach mixes traditional karate with boxing for an effective workout and a realistic self-defense solution. We emphasize positive conflict resolution at our club but we want our students to be prepared for any situation!United Open Karate has been an active part of the Annex community in Toronto, Ontario for more than 25 years and we're still going strong! The club's founder and sensei, George Consiglio, maintains a proud tradition by helping to instruct every class we offer along with assistance from experienced black and brown belt students.
Any one of our students would be happy to help out so feel free to take advantage of our experienced members. We have several black belt-level students at our club, including Derek, John, Julian, Avia, and Wilfred along with our brown belt students Brian, Francois, and Wesley.
Our classes maintain a positive atmosphere and a strong sense of community! We offer separate classes for children and adults four times a week each as follows:
Children (ages 3-12):
Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 5:15pm until 6:30pm. Sundays at 11am to 12:15pm.
Adults (ages 13+):
Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 7pm until 8:15pm, Saturday 11am-12:15pm.
There are plenty of other opportunities to come down to the club to train. Simply inquire at the club and we will do our best to provide you with the time and space you need to be at your very best!
